1) It may take up to 10 minutes for your archived data to be displayed on the web after you archive it from the phone.

2) Contacts display is not modifiable.

-This is fully data driven, so we are building a builder to allow you to customize your contacts display.

3) If I check "Check here if you are using a mobile phone", I can only check on "Text Messages" and "Call History".

-The mobile version of the site is under construction. Do not use the "Check here if you are on a mobile phone" checkbox yet.

4) Unable to signup/signup failed.  This can occur in versions of PMVault prior to 1.0.1.12 and PMRecorder prior to 1.0.1.2.  We were not allowing proxy settings on the phone to be used to connect to the Internet.  In later versions, you may keep your proxy settings enabled on the phone.

Pocket PC Phone Edition PMVault.exe
1) When I archive my Voice Notes, PM Vault does not find them.  The default folder for Voice Notes is supposed to be '\My Documents\Notes'.  However, some PPC devices save Voice Notes in the '\My Documents' folder.  To have PM Vault find your voice notes, create a directory called 'Notes' in the '\My Documents' folder with File Explorer.  Move your notes into that directory.  In the Notes application, change the drop-down at the top to point to the '\My Documents\Notes' directory.  From then on, the Notes application will save your notes in the '\My Documents\Notes' directory where PMVault can find them.

MS Smartphone PMVault.exe
1) The program re-asks for my password after I choose 'Check for updates' and install them from the web.

-The Install/Uninstall procedure for Windows CE requires registry cleanup. We store some account information in your registry (not your password). Re-enter the same password you used to setup the account.

2) When I upload a picture over 8MB in length, I get an error saying the maximum post file size was reached.

- Please email us to let us know this is happening.

MS Smartphone/Pocket PC PMRecorder.exe
1) When I record calls,  I can only hear my side of the conversation in the recording.

- We know that the Cingular 2125 and HTC Tornado devices will record both sides of the conversation.  We are dependent on the hardware.  A workaround on other phones/pocket pc devices is to use the speakerphone option on your phone.  That way, both sides of the conversation are picked up by the recorder.

2) When I record calls on the US version of the T-Mobile SDA, the audio sounds like Minnie Mouse.  There is a problem with the T-Mobile SDA's audio system drivers.  Please contact T-Mobile or HTC and report this issue - we have as well...

3) When I upload a recorded voice call over 80 minutes in length, I get an error saying the maximum post file size was reached.

-Please email us to let us know this is happening.

4) I can't play the saved audio files from Windows Media Player on the phone.

- The files can be played back thru the Call List interface of the application.  When the files are archived to 1800message.com, they are converted to standard .wav files and can be played on-line using Windows Media Player (or other .wav) compatible player from the desktop.  Also, after uploading the calls, you can right click on the URL to play the call and choose "Save as..." to store the .wav file on your computer.

5) Audio quality is not that great on the recordings.  We have added selectable audio sampling rates under the Settings Menu in Version 1.0.1.5 or later.

6) Program crashes when I try to change the Data Directory.  This can occur if you are using the program called PocketLAN and have enabled the \Network option.  We use a system call to return the \Application Data system path.  For some reason, when PocketLAN is installed, this returns a bogus path of \Network\ etc.  To work around this issue, you can change your data path to use the Storage Card as follows:
  a) Exit the PMRecorder application
  b) Using Explore from ActiveSync: Copy the \Application Data\PMVault\CRConfig.ini file to your PC
  c) Edit the file and change the line that looks like this:
      DataDir=<some bad path>
  to this:
      DataDir=\Storage Card\PMVault\Calls
  d) Copy the file back to \Application Data\PMVault\ directory
  e) Restart PMRecorder - the Change Data Directory function should no longer crash.
